Charity Present 2008

This year, Chemgineering donated 10,000 Swiss Francs to the aid organization Noah (Nurturing Orphans of AIDS for Humanity), orphanage and day care centers for AIDS orphans in South Africa. Our donation was spent to erect two class rooms, one office container as well as a toilet container for the children in Actionville. We are very glad
that we could contribute to improve the quality of the children's lives.

Additionally, Sandra Weber-Fetzer, wife of our local representative, volunteered for
two years in the building-up of a "Ark" in Ivory Park, caring for the little ones as well
as giving computer lessons for teenagers that became a fixed part in the education program.

We wish you and your family every happiness for the New Year!

At Roche in Basel, the construction of a new research and development center has been officially kicked-off. Chemgineering will support with process knowledge in construction management.

52nd International Fair of Technique and Technical Achievements (UFI), Sajam Fairground Belgrad / Serbien

Viable solutions for life sciences will be presented by the Chemgineering Technology Designers at the International Fair of Technique and Technical Achievements (UFI), taking place from 12th until 16th of March 2008 in Belgrade / Serbia.

This trade fair dedicated to construction and installation engineering, metal processing, structural, electrical and chemical engineering as well as telecommunication has become the leading platform for business contacts in the Balkan States and beyond. Chemgineering is going to use this starting point to expand the activities in Eastern Europe. We are presenting us together with our partners Termovent Komerc and Cleangrad.

We would like to invite you to visit us at Zagreb Fair of Medicine and Technology in the period from May 16th to May 18th, 2007. After the presentations in Hungary, Serbia and Romania the seminar in Bulgaria also was a big success for Chemgineering.

Together with the bulgarian office of WKO (Austrian Chamber of Commerce) Chemgineering held a seminar about actual aspects of GMP on 27th of March at the Grand Hotel in Sofia.

More than 60 experts from bulgarian pharmaceutical industry attended the meeting to get informed about various aspects of GMP. They followed closely the reports of Chemgineering experiences on optimal approach for conceptual design, qualification and cleaning validation. Especially Dr. Michael Bodenteich's explanations on CAPA (Corrective and preventive actions) led to a very lively discussion. But not only CAPA, even many other topics and questions were dealt with during the breaks and after the end of the session together with the speakers. Chemgineering presents itself with this seminar as a competent and reliable partner for the Bulgarian pharmaceutical industry by providing best solutions in the GMP environment.
 

Chemgineering was responsible for all Construction Management: preparations for the production of the new cancer drug Avastin are now proceeding as planned in the new biotechnology production centre of Roche Basel. Finishing work on the building has now been completed and the facility will be put into full operation in phases.
