Chemgineering Supports in Expansion of Production site for Lomapharm

Emmerthal, Germany - 09/28/2023

Chemgineering, a global consulting and engineering firm focused on the GxP-regulated environment, will undertake a project to rebuild and expand Lomapharm's production. The company, headquartered in Emmerthal, Germany, will thus expand and modernize its production capacities. This is a significant step in the history of the company, which dates back to 1878.

The project includes both the conversion of existing facilities and the expansion of the production area. This combination of brownfield and greenfield project represents a challenge that Chemgineering is taking on with great enthusiasm.

The project will also involve the use of new technologies at the Emmerthal site, where Lomapharm has its headquarters. These include, in particular, fluid bed granulation for the production of solid dosage forms such as tablets, film-coated tablets or coated tablets.

This technology and the associated expansion will help to increase production capacity and efficiently carry out all manufacturing steps in one batch instead of spreading them over several batches. This improvement will not only increase profitability, but also help to ensure the highest standards.

Toke Göttsch, Head of Sales Germany at Chemgineering, commented on the project as follows:

"The expansion of Lomapharm's production is an exciting project that will shape the future of pharmaceutical production at the site. Lomapharm has a long history of the highest standards and responsibility in pharmaceutical manufacturing. We are proud to bring our expertise and commitment to this project and to contribute to the continuation of this success story."

The project start is still scheduled for September and will include the concept and basic design.
